Informational

The Web site at which you are now looking is, at its core, an informational site. I have a body of knowledge that I have built up through study and experience, and I am sharing it with others by writing about it. My desire is that it will spark interest and educate to the point that some readers will actually go out and build their own Web sites. Formal and informal discussions of the topics contained herein have led to more than a few people taking on Web responsibilities in their jobs, because they were the only ones who knew what to do with the Web. This, of course, is the greatest reward I could hope for in sharing my knowledge.

Other types of informational Web sites could include hobbies, such as stamp/coin collecting or quilting, or even “black arts” sites for hackers to share secrets. Anyone with a fascination about something can share that focus with the rest of the world on their own informational Web site.
